Introduction

Mr. Parmelee received his B.A.  from the University of South, Sewanee, Tennessee, and his J.D. from the University of Texas. He practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas for over forty years and has been admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Texas and before the U.S. District Courts, Southern, Northern, and Western Districts of Texas. He is an inactive member of the State Bar of Texas and is of counsel retired to the firm.

Legal Experience and Areas of Practice

Mr. Parmelee has held memberships in the American Bar Association and the Tarrant County Bar Association where he was also involved in the State Section on Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law. Mr. Parmelee has extensive experience in the areas of transportation law and real estate, as well as general business law and he also has experience with civil litigation matters. He has worked extensively with various local governmental bodies, particularly in the areas of governmental competitive bidding and public contracting; public transit law; open meetings and open records; Federal Transit Administration Grants, procedures and requirements; and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The formation of business entities, secured lending, and the purchase and sale of interest in businesses, real estate and oil and gas, along with related negotiation and documentation also made up a significant portion of Mr. Parmelee’s practice as an active lawyer.
